THREE HOURS A DAY?

KEY is bitchin’ about the price of gas. Well hell, she should.

I know some people who drive an hour and a half, each way, to their job every day.

You need to quit that fucking job, and find another one. Or move, because that’s not a job, that’s fucking some sort of servitude. Do something else.

Anyone who spends three hours in their car everyday, just to go to work needs their head examined.

Life is too short.

Yeah I know – I do it every day. Suburban Virginia to Bethesda via the Dulles Toll Road and the Dules Greenway. So in addition to the gas for my 740i, I also have a $6/day in tolls.
It’s for a purpose though and when I’m done later this year I wil be done with this kind of long distance commuting. At least I get to read (hear) a lot of audio books on my iPod through my car stereo. :-) Currently listening to Nelson Demille’s “The Lion’s Game” – rate it above average for a detective novel.

I drive two hours every day, but I have to. My wife works in another city and we have kids to pick up and all that. So, it just works out that way. Hell, when I was in Houston, I drove two hours a day and that was just to get from the suburbs to downtown. What’s the difference? At least I can live in the country where my weekends are slow and easy.

I agree. Personally, I’d never spend more than 30 minutes driving to and from a job. Fortunately, I’ve always lived somewhere that I didn’t HAVE to.

I once drove two hours, one way…VERY stupid, but I only had to go in three times a week.
Now, I have a ten mile commute from outside the city limits of Mayberry to inside the city limits of Mayberry.
Hey, we get raped in taxes, but owning your own biz does have its advantages.
