I never got into this music scene back in the day but my husband did and we still have all his old albums (the exploited..the germs…some freaky album with a dead deer on it that says..WHO SHOT BAMBI)…our computer room is a shrine to THE MISFITS….anyway he gets kinda offended at the kids today wearing patches that say PUNK on them. My husband told me he shopped at Goodwill stores and I believe him based on the old photos I’ve seen of him..now the kids got that store HOT TOPIC and one pair of pants cost 40 to 50 bucks…that’s not very punk I don’t think. I read John Lydon’s autobiography and he wouldn’t spit on this new breed of punk if they were on fire. Hell..I’m more punk than these kids..haha…

I saw a kid wearing a Dead Kennedys t-shirt the other day. He was about 15 years old and I was wondering if he even knows who the fuck the Dead Kennedys are/were. I remember seeing them live at the Whiskey way back in 1980–or there about–I’m not quite sure because I was usually flying on black beauties back then. Ah, sweet memories of youth!
