Happy 300th Birthday

Benjamin Franklin was born 300 years ago, today.

My man Ben was a Wild Turkey, so to speak.

Benjamin Franklin wanted wild turkeys to be our national symbol instead of the bald eagle. He felt that the stately, majestic qualities of the wild turkey would make it a fine symbol for the new country.

I have always had a great deal of admiration for him…

    I expected to find a silhouette of ole Ben in the Google logo after reading your post…not the case. Strange, since last week they commemorated the birth of Louis Braille, and of course MLK Jr. yesterday.
    Was the Original American not good enough for Google?
