I like beer.
I’ve had beer from every country in the world. Germany, for my taste, brews the best.
Plus…biggest-ass mugs I’ve ever lifted.
Following is an English translation of the Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law) adopted in 1516, the oldest provision still enforced to protect the consumer. This is taken from the article “History of German Brewing” by Karl J. Eden, published in ‘zymurgy’ magazine, Vol. 16, No. 4 Special 1993.

Man, I wish they still had those kind of prices. Not to mention pfennigs, stinky Euro. Then again, if a big ol’ Massbier cost one pfennig, I’d be dead now. Those things is murder.
