Man, that’s close. That’s why I don’t own a boat, god I’d love to, but I’d wind up just like you said, and two, why I like to fish the piers, which now, in NC they’re takin’ down. Damnit!

Learned long ago:
If I take my boat, I leave when I say I am..whether you’re here or not.
Have at least 2 of everything, and take both of’em.
Find a buddy that has a boat…use his.
Leave the night before, stay in a cheap-ass motel.
F**k the fish at 3:00 a.m. wake ups. They’ll be there when I get there.
That made me laugh out LOUD. We have a boat in our backyard. It hasn’t seen water for a few years now. It’s last outing went ALMOST like you just described.
Who needs a boat? Much safer on a dock or shoreside. Heh..that made me laugh reading about it.
