Israel underestimated the strength of Hezbollah, and the support they receive from Iran. Anything brokered by the United Nations will fail, and Israel and the United States will face some tough decisions, very soon. Israel cannot, and will not, under any circumstances, allow Iran to go nuclear. It will not happen. We are way past sanctions now, and have been for some time.
Obviously, Israel can’t detonate a nuclear weapon in Lebanon, no more than North Korea could nuke South Korea; it’d be like nuking themselves, but Iran is, by air, 1,250 miles from Israel. That is feasible; the prevailing winds are in their favor, and they might not have a choice. Israel can, and will, do whatever it takes to survive. They have no other choice but to defeat radical Islam.
I am in no way an advocate of a nuclear strike on anyone, but I believe Israel has the right to exist…whatever the cost. We used nuclear weapons in Japan to end World War II for one simple reason. To save American lives. Well, maybe, also, to scare the Russians. A full-scale invasion of Japan would have caused massive civilian casualties and heavy loss of life for American forces. Is the world a better place because of those decisions? I think so.
I believe war with Iran is inevitable because Iran wants it. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a fanatical IslamoFascist madman. He is committed to the complete destruction of Israel, and the West.
If you were Israeli, how would you feel, and what would you do? How much force is too much force?
I’m just saying the world is on a hair trigger, and it is not just the Middle East.
This is some Bad Bad Juju.

Israel will do it. And hell, Iran’s president is fucking BEGGING for Armageddon. Only I think he thought it was gonna go in the other direction. As long as the Russians get their advisers out first, and the Chinese get the smoldering oil fields, I don’t think anyone will really give a shit, either. Fucking Medes.
V-Man…right you are.
I’ll tell you something extremely bizarre about Ahmadinejad … I saw a brief clip of him on 60 minutes recently and he said something to the tune of (translated from Farsi, of course), “Now is not the time for bombs … now is the time for thought, dialogue and cultural exchanges.”
I wasn’t sure if I wanted to laugh my ass off, cry over various refills of beer, stick my $8,900 guitar up his scrawny bum or maybe some sick concoction of all three.
But anyways, I disgress, and agree … anything the United Nations is behind is inevitably doomed to failure, and if there are 5,000 French troops involved, well, let’s just say I’m sure Israel has not seen the last of the Cedars of Lebanon. What a farkin’ joke! A waste of time and a waste of innocent human lives.
What I don’t understand is why Israel even has to succumb to the jurisdiction of the United Nations … see, politics just ain’t my thing, but it seems to me as much as the Hizbollah, Iran, Hamas, the Palestinians, left-wing shmucktards and all other manner of ass fungus want to destroy Israel, so does the UN? Why can’t we, the US, and Israel, just thumb our noses at that God-forsaken megalomaniacal enterprize of evil?
Am I wrong on this? Everything that comes out of Kofi Anan’s mouth completely undermines Israel, like those stupid referees in tag-team wrestling matches, who lets the evil partner behind the ropes conveniently jump into the ring behind the referee’s back to fuck with the guy who’s forcefully being held with his hands tied behind his back.
I thought this was a great read, by the way.
I have but one quesiton regarding Israel’s employing the nuclear option against Iran.
