Winter Solstice

For us in the Northern Hemisphere, today is the shortest day of the year. The sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn in the Southern Hemisphere.

For those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, today is the longest day of the year. The sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer in the Northern Hemisphere.

So, the terms Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice are ambiguous since the Winter Solstice of one hemisphere is the Summer Solstice of the other.

I’m just sayin’

Anyway, good time for a night launch.
