The Missing Stone

It is believed that Ryoan-ji was built in the late 1400’s. This rock garden has 15 stones, but only 14 are visible from any vantage point. I don’t know, I’ve never flown over it. If true, I would liken the 15th stone to the Japanese fleet that caught us by surprise on this day, [...]
