A Metaphor

I like a good metaphor. Always have…always will. I’ve been reading a lot of interesting stuff lately.

Below the fold is from: Deutschland -Berichte der Socialdemokratischen Partei Deutschlands April 4, 1937.

…the process of Nazism’s attempted moral transformation of German society to rebuilding a railway bridge. Engineers could not simply demolish an existing structure, because of the impact on rail traffic. Instead, they slowly renewed each bolt, grinder and rail, work which hardly caused passengers to glance up from their newspapers. However, one day, they would realize that the old bridge had gone and a gleaming new structure stood its stead…

In plain language…they realized they were fucked.
