Pain In The Glass

I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer.

Not really, but it continues to snow. Global warming for sure.

No problem, I finished the “Mistake”…I learned a lot from it. I will tell you…Stained Glass is much more complicated than I imagined. This is piece number two, and it whipped my ass…but at least I made it to framing. Only needed three band-aids this time around.

Ill be starting piece number three soon. It can’t get much worse than door number two.

I need a hobby like that, except without sharp objects or heat invovled, being the klutz I am. Perhaps I should stick to my needlepoint, considering the damage I can do.

One of my former co-workers does glasswork on the side. She doesn’t seem to get hardly any cuts, but she has been doing it for a while. (And yes, I did a website for her).

I believe you have the talent for stained glasswork. You should make a dachshund one! Don’t you just love it when people make craft suggestions?

I’ll tell you…this shit should not be done while drinking.

      Bwahahahah!!!

You can see that I broke both of the “sky” pieces and had to improvise. Make 4 out of 2. The back of the sloop should be “tan”, not blue…that’s from smoking crack. The mainsail was originally white, but I fucked it up as well…had to move to clear snowy glass…all I had at the moment, but it is, after all, hanging.

I’m gonna attempt a F-22 Raptor next., but I probably need to crawl before I walk…or do a shuttle. I’m really not into flowers…yet.

My mom used to do stained glass. There may be a box of colored glass still out in her garage. I’ll go poke around and see if it’s still there.
