Newspaper V-J DAY

Eric the Blade got me thinking about newspapers.

A couple of years ago, the Juju Woman found this newspaper in some of her stuff…it was gifted to her by her grandmother 23 years ago. Her grandfather bought this “EXTRA” on August 14th. The Japanese actually surrendered on the afternoon of August, 15 1945, but due to the time zone changes…V-J day is recognized on August 14. We framed it, and it hangs next to a silk painting my father brought home from China at the end of WWII.

    So cool.

I have the playgirl issue where Burt Reynolds posed naked. It was willed to me. When I see him now though, I just get creeped out cause, dude, I saw him naked and he’s so old and plastic now.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD stuff! I’m jealous, I’d love to have me a copy of that to hang on my man-cave wall.
