Future

I need one of these,

because I would like to know where we’re heading. Our current bunch of lying, cheating, elected politicians are taking us down a dead-end road. It gets worse, day by day. Everyone needs to be thinking about Plan B. Everything, as we knew it, is changing, and changing fast. The mid-term elections are, maybe, the most IMPORTANT elections ever…at least in our lifetimes. We’ve got to start sometime, and sometime is now. You owe it to the American people…VOTE…vote your conscience…vote for your children, and their children. Regardless of which side you side with…if you don’t vote, you’re the problem and a coward…stand up for what you think is ethical and right for our and your future generations.

You’ve got to vote, and if you don’t vote you’ve no control of your future, and forfeited your right to have an opinion. . If you want someone else to make decisions for you, fine, but you are not a true American. America is a Constitutional Republic, not a Direct Democracy. There is a huge difference.

I hear people who want to change the electoral college. Most people I talk to don’t understand what the electoral college is, have no clue, but they want to change something they don’t understand. So I’ve been trying to come up with an analogy.

The world series is a “best of seven”...winner take all, but the rules are how many games you won, compared to the number of points scored. This, in fact, is the only way to level the playing field. That is the rule of play. So, the 1st team wins the first 3 games 300 to nothing, so they have a score of of 900. The second team wins the next 4 games 1 to 0, so the total score is 900 to 4. Who wins? Team 1 has 900 runs…team 2 has 4 runs…team 2 won the majority of games, so they win.

I would really like you to help me out with this. I need a better analogy. I mean, how do you make people understand the Electoral College, and how it makes it fair for people who live in smaller local populations, and ensure that their opinions count?

Talk to me!!!

I need another analogy…someone help me out with this.

Oh do I ever agree whole heartedly with that!

Personally, I think the world series analogy is pretty damn good… but I’ll see if I can come up with something else.

That is… if it isn’t enough that hillary is for removing the electoral college… if that’s not enough, I’m not sure what argument we come up with that’d be more convincing….

      Thanks Van,

I’ve tried to explain the Electoral College to many people in a way they might understand. You would not believe, I take that back..I’m certain you do, how many people don’t under the civics of our country.
