I have a bunch of spare bricks…the ones with holes in ‘em, and some spare grills. I was bored, so I thought I would throw a small fire-pit / grill together for the hell of it…using wood, not charcoal. I don’t use gas, ever. Took about ten minutes to build. Turned out better than I thought. Since this was the first test, I used some chicken, some peppers, some onion, and a potato. Cooking on wood is way different than charcoal. I know that, but I was experimenting. Hey, it worked fine. An addition to the Juju Theater. Since I was a little Yabu, I’ve always loved a drive-in movie theater. Especially when I found out what girls were, but there are none around here…so we made our own. The ingredients are as follow:
Clothes line.
Queen size bed sheet w/ bricks for an anchor)
Laptop (computer).
Video Projector (USB connection)
Long extension cord…just in case.
Table
Cooler
Lounging chairs
A cool dog…Stretch loves movie night.
Concession Stand (pictured below) before dark
I swear to the Maker, The Juju Drive-In is downtown. Just ask Stretch. He watches a little movie, goes on patrol, watches some more, and goes on patrol again.
Too much fun…

Although I’ve got to cop to using the gas BBQ (why do I feel like Rory Calhoun in “Motel Hell” shamefully confessing “I used preservatives…” (if you haven’t seen it, it’s a campy classic, perfect for the drive-in)), maybe I can redeem myself with this.
We did the sheet a few times too, tacked under our deck, until my wife discovered this beaut:

Love it!
Plus we plug the laptop into my old Sun bass amp & Peavey cabinet with double 18″ black widow speakers… let the neighbors eat cake.
Very cool…gonna look into it…no pun intended. We use external speakers, but not like your rig.
Instead of chairs go to a junk yard and buy an old back seat from a car. Then if the movie starts to suck, get you a little bit of pussy for dessert, Cat
Every night they show old sea movies on the sails of the Star of India on San Diego Bay. Cool.
