I had to do a little voting yesterday. Here in North Carolina, voters approved the amendment defining marriage as a union exclusively between a man and a woman. I understand that President Obama is’”Disappointed” with the NC ban on Gay Marriage. Disappointed? The people voted, and I certainly hope he’s disappointed in November. Whatever, I believe the people have the right to CHOOSE. I do not believe the government has the same right to choose for them.
Just my opinion.

That is thirty states that have rejected gay marriage. I guess the idea of gay marriage is not as popular or accepted as the press would lead us to believe
Yep, fuck the press. They’re a big part of the problem
A lot of my friends are missing this vital point: the STATE has the right to put this up for a vote, NOT the Federal Government. They are not seeing the forest for the trees….
I agree. You and I see eye to eye.
Remember though, people in this country have a very, very short memory. Look at how quickly most of this nation forgot 9/11? They’ll do the same when it comes to voting this November, you just watch.
Also, the government depends on the idiots who vote for them, why do you think the government can get away with what it does? The government knows that the very same people who voted for them also like the very same government to make decisions for them.
This country is filled with some of the most lazy, incompetent, stupid, and downright complacent human beings I’ve ever seen. It’s getting very, very close to the point of no return; and I fear this November will be that turning point.
What do you think?
To be honest, I have to agree with you on all points.
Why is marriage even mentioned in any legislation?
Good question. It should make no difference, but don’t start throwing me off the truck and under the bus. I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK. Period. I am who I am, and always will be. I answer to myself, and I’m good with that. I feel how I feel, and believe what I believe. I make no excuses for anything. You threw me off the truck once, but the bus missed me.
Have a good day!
