…if you’re thinking about knocking something down. 45-70s are sweet. I don’t care what anyone says. They rock. They’ll also rock your shoulder. Better to be rocked than not, if you know what I mean.
A 45-70 will do anything in North or South America. Fact. Also, there is a lot to be said about a lever action “cowboy” rifle.
Just saying’ is all.

A thing of beauty! Thank you for sharing.
Yes ma’am, they are sweet. I still have the first shell casing from the fist 45-70 I ever fired. It’s on my desk as I type. I grew up with a bunch of guys, and gals, who loved cowboy lever actions. everyone, girls included, preferred a 45-70 over a 30-30. I’m talking lever action. Different ballgame altogether.
Heh. Love to see that fired at dusk. I bet the Ring o’ Fire out of the muzzle, punctuated by the Mag-na-port jets are a sight to behold!!
I don’t own a .45-70. That may have to be remedied!!
I’m telling you brother man, a 45-70 is a bad ass ride. No where in the same league as a 30-30 lever gun. They have some major smack to ‘em’
That is soooo hawt
Yes it is, you should get one. Whatever you hit with with a 45-70 is a goner.
You need to be riding a horse when you fire that thing.
One day I should take a pic of my collection : )
Yeap, I need some horses and a stagecoach. Those 45-70s are the real deal. I love ‘em. As you know, a 45-70 will knock the shit out you, knock the shit out of anything you hit, and knock the shit out of anything you miss. Great caliber. Right now, if I could only choose one rifle, and one rifle / carbine only, I’d be all over a 45-70 lever. Very practical.
I’d like to see that pic.

i am gonna leave a link, which i don’t normally do. but, it is strictly gun related, and may be of some interest to your readers.

it is going just the opposite way of your .45-70, but intended for small deer gathering, the 450 yard battlefield, and whatever on the side social work that may be needed from time to time. it is a little case, slightly longer than the “bench rest” cartridges remington introduced some time ago.
i will not impose again with the “link” business, but thought your readers might get a kick out of my little cartridge.

Thanks, and no problem with the link. Have a good day.
