It’s been in the low 40’s and raining here lately. Damp cold shitty weather for sure.
We have a vacuum pack sealer machine, so we hit the freezer. If you don’t have one of those machines, I recommend you get one. They work, and extend the life of whatever you pack and freeze, ten, twenty times., maybe more. Tasted like it was just made.
This had been packed and frozen for 16 months, and it was perfect. Delicious. It’s a cross between soup and stew.
Everything in it was fresh when we “put it up”. Damn good, is all I can say. Those vacuum pack machines are a “must have”.
Add some hoe cakes or a little cornbread on the side and you’re good to go.
