Publishing Concealed Carry And Gun Permits

Well, the fact is that a persons concealed carry permit is public record. I think publishing them in any media source is in poor taste, but it is legal. Bottom line. The anti-gun media and organizations are behind it, no doubt. I’ve heard some of the people with CCH permits say they feel sorry for the people who didn’t make the list because the bad guys will know where they live. That’s bullshit. 99.99% or more of the people who own guns don’t have a permit. Do they have one gun, or do they have twenty? Who knows, who will ever know? There are more guns in the wild than most people realize. Who really cares if you have a CCH permit? Get over it. Let me rephrase that. In the end, during what you believe is a life or death situation, you’re going to pull the trigger, permit or no permit. I wonder how many guns are in the bottom of rivers and lakes? A CCH permit has many advantages, but a license to kill is not one of ‘em. Maybe the anti-gun folks ought to do some research on the subject.

C’mon Yabu. You know facts just get in their way and confuse them.

I agree, but they’re many people who need to get un-confused on many things before we can move forward. They do have a tendency to invent the facts, but so does their leader.

Always a good idea. I’ve only had to show my weapon once, and that fucker took off like a scalded dog.

I do feel better when I know a gun owner has a concealed carry cause it means they had to sit through some sort of class. My brother just up and bought a gun and within three days had one of those negligent discharges.

I tend to agree with you. The class I took was about 15 hours, and some people flunked, which meant they had to go home and try again later. They also had to pay again. Aside from gun safety, shooting, etc, this class contained a lot of law, which I found to be most helpful.

Like you, I know a guy who went and bought a gun, took it home and accidentally fired a round in his living room. The dumb ass didn’t know how to un cock a loaded revolver. Plus, I think he’d had a few beers.
