This did not get a lot of media coverage, no surprise there, but a couple of weeks ago the military and LE were flying (at night) between the buildings in downtown Miami, and over the suburbs of Houston, shooting blanks from mounted machine guns. The people were terrified as there was no announcement of these drills. Some thought they were under attack. What is going on? What are they preparing for? Do they know something we don’t? Of course they do.
Hell if I know, but it does present a few questions.
Will the Military and Law Enforcement fire on American civilians?
Why is the government stockpiling huge amounts of firearms and ammunition?, and why is Homeland Security, not the Defense department, running this operation?
Is the “civilian national security force” back in the light? Obama quote, Colorado July 2, 2008: “We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”
A side thought: is Gun Control about controlling guns, or controlling People?
If anyone believes for one second that a universal background check is used only for firearms, they’re crazy. It is the beginning of registering all Americans. Are your papers in order? Think I’m kidding?, wait and see. Medical records, eating and drinking habits, emails, phone logs,,,etc.

From a training standpoint, they had some training in an actual urban environment.
From a tactical standpoint, they learned people trust the military enough to where they can do just about anything without receiving return fire.
Still, I find it interesting.

Me too. The Juju Woman had one the other day, and they asked her if there was a gun at home. I kid you not. It was on one of the forms.

I had to fill in a bunch of forms just prior to the end of the year and they didn’t ask about guns. Now… I haven’t been since Jan 1 so it can still happen.
The government moves slow, they’re getting their groove on, I think.
I had to go to a urgent care about three weeks ago…and they asked about a gun…I said OH HELL NO! Of course not! Are you freakin crazy? Me? Nope.

Hell, I understand they’re even are asking the children about their parents. This shit is getting way out of hand.
