I worked in hotels for a while and I worked with alot of Hispanics and Koreans. They would work for damn near nothing and they worked their asses off.

I picked up on some of the lingo just for myself...so I could converse on the smoking dock out back ya know but where I worked...they all tried really hard to learn English.

Now I'm no Leftie or nothing and I ain't gonna debate this immigration situation either...not online anyway...come and have a beer with me in person and we can chew the fat all night but...

I kinda like speaking the Espanol sometimes and I do like being able to call people ugly names in Korean...makes me feel all special..haha.

But now I live in Germany and I try to speak the Deutch..I'm dreadful at it but I keep on...keepin' on..

My favorite saying is "Welcome to America where our 2nd language is English"

That's not entirely true. They are taking jobs that Americans are too smart to take as well. Americans have come to expect a certain standard of safety in their working conditions, eh? You can save a lot of money if you hire someone who doesn't really mind working in unsafe conditions.

Ya know I have lots of thoughts on this issue. I don't mind anyone working and taking whatever wage they want. I have a problem with the fact of 83% of our dollars ear marked to help the down and out goes to birthing illegal immigrant babies here in this state. Health care for the illegals is breaking state budgets harming our citizens.
I ain't crazy about welfare broodmares but hey they were here first.
My son was in an accident last year breaking his back and neck. He had been working const.and making a living for his family.
He now qualifies for an apartment in the ghetto and a few food stamps. No retraining. When he inquired about schooling he was told that funding had been cut that the latino community needed it more for their health care i.e. babies being born.
If the illegals want to be here fine but no bennies for them.
