Rocketdog

This is my puppy Stretch

The Juju Lady told me it was the best money we've ever spent.

Anyway, the Dachshund is the smallest of hounds, but don't let that fool you...they are fearless. They are a German breed, but I like to say...German Engineered.

Stretch will not back down under any circumstances. Fast too, he can run like a 930 Turbo, and cut on a dime. Very impressive. He can dig a hole half his length in under two minutes.

Plus, he hates squirrels and I'm really downtown with that. He trees 'em, and I pop 'em.

My backyard is now known as the Stretchengeti.

I too have a Dachshund. He is a minerature goes by the name Oscar (thanks granddaughter). Last winter the little turd went after an opossum. He took it by the back of the neck and shook it to death. Must admit that it shocked me, but he strutted around like a rottweiler for the next two weeks. Now we have a rat living in the tool shed. Oscar is tunneling under trying to get to it. Determined little dog.

good looking dawg..and you are right..they are faster than they appear but have a tough time keeping up with a long legged hound..the big dawgs will just wear them out with the longer stride..but the Dachshund can come nearer whuppin' the boar coon..

I used to dogsit for one years ago. Tough little dog who hated squirrels and UPS trucks. He used to have one of those reel type leashes and every time he saw one or the other, he just about would dislocate my shoulder trying to get them. Funny personalities on those little guys. Very macho, at least the males. I don't think I've ever known a female.
