Cold...Fucking Cold.
It’s all about the latitude.
I have no problem with cold weather. I enjoy it to an extent, but fucking 8 degrees with minus 10+ degrees wind-chill is, well, just plain bone chilling. I have the appropriate clothing, layers and silk, and you still can’t escape it. It is double fucking cold. You need to cover all exposed flesh…look like you’re robbing a bank.
I’m on the shore of a Great Lake…the wind is blowing like all get-out; all but the main roads are like a hockey rink, and even the locals are bitchin’.
I’m outta here in the early morning…maybe. Thanks are to the Maker.
The wind makes all the difference in the world. It will cut you in half.

Yabu, I don't mind the cold either; it's part of where I live. But, we have been sitting between minus 15 to minus 25 with windchills between minus 35 and minus 40 for a while now and I'm ready to head back down to Florida. DAMN!

In Chicago? Heh. Spent 24 years there with weather like that every winter... actually that's lots warmer than a number of winters I spent there (it was 24 below - the temp not the wind chill - the night my son was born).
While Massachusetts might be full of lunatic lefties - it isn't nearly as cold as Chicago for nearly as long - at least for the 2 winters I've been here.
