I realize most people could care less about stained glass. I happen to like it. So, here’s another one from the Juju Woman. It’s going to one of her sisters.

The Juju Woman made this kaleidoscope for an internet friend. Never met her face to face, and she inquired about one after she saw a picture I posted not long ago. It has an extra wheel, and the wheels are reversible, so it like having four in one. I didn’t post it until she received it, wanted it to be a surprise.

She said…“Love it, Love it, Love it!! It is so amazing to look through, so unexpected…This is like one big piece of candy.”

Now that, is a compliment, and we thank her for that.

When she builds any glass, if it’s not a total surprise, we only ask one question…What are your favorite colors? Helps with the glass selection, if you know what I mean. They are all one of a kind.

It’s about 10 inches wheel to tail.

A Mirror

Sometimes people should take a good look at themselves in a mirror. Ask themselves, WTF am I thinking, or am I thinking. Things are bad for many people these days, and don’t seem to be getting any better. I know many people who just don’t pay attention to current affairs or events. They ignore things, because they don’t want to believe ‘em. They believe if they don’t think about ‘em, they’ll go away. It’s like when shit is happening in their front yard, they only look at the back yard. I don’t understand that. We are fast approaching a fork in the road; you can either go right or left, so to say, but you must decide in which direction you will go. What will be best for you and yours? Hell if I can answer that, but I do know if you stand at the turns and do nothing, you’re done. Just a thought.

Anyway, here’s a pimped out mirror the Juju Woman made. The dog in the reflection is Stretch’s buddy Lionel, a Wheaten Terrier. Good dog he is. You ought to see ‘em when they get together. Just plain damn too funny.

The Juju Woman doesn’t pimp everything out…no she doesn’t, but I told her she should add some fur to some of ‘em. She threatened to cut me.

A few more from the Juju Woman, but like always…these are a bitch to photograph…and I have a halfway decent camera, heck if I know. These are sun-catcher panels with bevels. They project really beautiful rainbow patterns behind them. I need more window space, for sure. These are 3.5 X 10.0 in. We sold ‘em for like ” “cheap”. It’s not about the money, it’s about the window space. You want one, send me an email…35 bucks and I’ll pay the shipping and insurance. Seriously, I’m running out of window space. They are all “one of a kind”, and you can choose the color of the glass, and pattern. I’m in no way whoring out the Juju Woman, but I do need some more clear real estate. They are one of a kind. Might be worth a million dollars on E-Bay in the future. Bwahahahahahah!

The First Lamp Of 2012

Like I’ve said before, I do loves me some peppers, and stained glass is a bitch to photograph. I’ve tried so many different camera and lighting settings it makes me dizzy, but I’m not giving up quite yet. I can’t seem to photograph what her stuff really looks like, live.

Anyway, here’s another one from The Juju Woman. It has a circumference of 42 inches at the bottom of the shade, eight 9.5 inch vertical triangular panels (all different), and is just plain damn way too cool. I guess you need to see it to appreciate it. I have a halfway decent camera, and that dog ain’t hunting, or I don’t know WTF I’m doing. Probably both.

Pimped Out Kaleidoscope

Another one from the Juju Woman. 9.5 inches wheel to tail. This is the first one she built, and since then she has done many many of ‘em and each one is different. Some plainer than others. Depends on what people want, or what she thinks people want in case it’s a surprise. She’s gotten much better at these. Anyway, they are functional, and she delivers ‘em with two or three different wheels for your viewing pleasure. It’s very easy to swap ‘em out.

I call this one the “Nepalese Bus”. She did a similar one for our friend from Nepal.

Another one from the Juju Woman. It sits atop our tree and is 10.5 in. diagonal. You need a sturdy tree because it’s heavy. The lean is intentional.

Another one from the Juju Woman. 11 X 8.5. I’m telling you, stained glass is hard to photograph…looks much better “in person”. Anyway, it’s for a friend. It needs a little more “touch up” before we pack and ship it.

Dragonfly Stake

The Juju Woman just sold this to a friend. She got the Yabu discount. From wingtip to wingtip it’s about 9 inches. The stake is 3 feet. I’m digging the glass she used for the wings. Looks different from all angles depending on the trajectory of the sun.

It’s guaranteed to keep evil demons away.

I’m not whoring my woman out, but she will consider small, medium, and large commissions. Panels, Lamps, Sun Catchers, Windows, Dinosaurs, Ornaments,,,etc. They are all different. Unique, to say the least. She is now creating a window(s) for the front door of a house.

I’m telling you, stained glass is a bitch to photograph.

Up Up And Away

Another one from the Juju Woman. This one is 24in. X 24in., and 235 pieces. It will glow more with direct sunlight, the sun is on the the other side of the house, now.

235 cut pieces is a lot, and I helped as much as I could, and I was bleeding to prove it. If you’ve never taken a ride in a hot air balloon, you should.

The photo is a little off center, oh well. And also, when doing stained glass, it would be a good idea to keep an extra box of band aids and some neosporin around…and don’t forget needles and tweezers.
