Also, imagine this. My old college roommate just arrived, he’s in for 5 days, so whats going on with that? we’re going to have to hold back a bit. That’s a long time. He will also play double Mexican Yard Boy, although he doesn’t know it yet..I letting the number two sombrero.

For the ‘Food Pic Haters”

The other afternoon we made some French Onion soup, a Spinach Rice, and Cheese Casserole and some ice cold beer…Damn!

I might have told you that The Juju Woman found another rubber tub packed to the top the other day, and I’ve been scanning like a fool for many days now.

Two ways to look at it. (1) If you think it will be a pain in the ass, it will be a pain in the ass, and you’re wasting time. (2) or, you can look at it like a trip. A trap, or a Trip. It’s up to you.

I chose door number two and am having a damn good time. It brings back a lot of memories I had many many years ago, both good and bad. Scanning is a good thing….great way to visit your past with your friends. I probably have a few more photographs than many people, maybe not, but I’ve got enough to take several long trips. I never realized scanning photos is an opportunity to do some serious thinking, I’ve never looked at it in that light.

Talk about a trip down Memory Lane.

When you have an Itch, you have to scratch it. At least I do. I have a few “itch” stories floating around.

When I was a kid, I absolutely hating getting poison ivy on my balls. No way to fake that scratch, and I’ve dosed my Johnson so many times it’s damn near unbelievable. Hell, I’ve had Poison Ivy, Sumac, Oak, etc… just about everywhere you can imagine.

I believe she believes, like I do, that there is no room for Food Pic Haters. Man, those look good.

This is a Stained Glass Wind Chime ready to be packed and shipped. It was a commission gig. It’s about 7.5 width by 13.5 long. Those are the colors she wanted, and I usually choose the glass, but she has veto power. I hope she likes it, sight unseen. Once you start one, you can’t back up.

Personally, I like this one.

I have a buddy who buys and sell coins on the side. Legit 100%. He showed me some examples of “what they would looked like both before and after, and the difference in the value. I’m telling you, that sho nuff be a high dollar mistake.

The Juju Woman walked in the other afternoon with a bunch of peaches and cherries. I knew what was gonna happen.

This evening we fired up some roasted curried vegetables with some rice, and turnip greens with the turnips, and had some collards on the side. The dinosaurs like to piggyback around when theres Collards by. It was damn good.

The Juju Woman had one of those birthdays ending in a 0. So, I called my friend who has a Catdaddy crib on on Wrightsville Beach here in North Carolina. I asked him about having a little get-together (4 days, THU – SUN or MON) for the Juju Womans z0th birthday. Obviously no problem, hell, I’ve got a key. We invited about 20 or so, thinking not everyone will show up. Most of ‘em needed plane ride to get there, but it was worth a try. Well, at least 15 of the flyers showed, and more drivers. I had no idea, but we knew ahead of time…it was a RSVP deal, and our friends do have manners. Gave us time to to a little detailed planning. This was over Labor day weekend, so it was warm. We had people sleeping everywhere, even the big house in town (Wilmington). Me and a couple of us walked down to the local fish market to see what could be had. I walked in and explained we needed to feed between 20-25 people, and he said I just got the biggest flounder in the state right now, brought it from the back and plopped it down. It weighed 11 lbs. Biggest flounder I’ve ever seen, hell, I didn’t even know flounders grew that large. He said, “that’s what we call a DOORMAT”. I said “I’ll take it”, and he said he’d clean it and have it ready later this afternoon. Then, he asked if I needed fresh crab to stuff it with. I said hell yes we do, and he said “how much”, and I said I have no idea, I’ve never stuffed a flounder that size before. Why don’t you give us enough like you were doing for your own friends. He said “I’ll take care of it, see you later.

And take care of it, he did.

Well, I can tell you for sure, I’ve never picked that much crab for one fish in my life. It was a great meal, great long weekend, and a good time was had by all. It rained 11.5 inches (it rarely does that) while we were there, warm rain, so we didn’t even break stride. No storm, just rain. The 2nd floor porch is a 3/4 wraparound, about 15 ft. deep and is covered by a roof. Damn nice place, and everything you need is within walking distance. Plenty of bars and restaurants, etc. Once you arrive, you turn off your car, and don’t start it again until you leave. Cool place…the Juju Woman and I go over a lot. We’ve got our own bedroom. It’s about a two and a half hour drive from the Juju Crib.
