On Or Off, Yes Or No

My friend, the Flyfishing Philosopher has an interesting comment thread going on here. You should weigh in. He has a liberal on the hook who can’t seem to respond. I asked her a binary question, and she can’t seem to say “on or off”, or “yes or no”. She doesn’t have the time. Bwahahah!!!

Go and state your view. I believe in catch and release, unless you’re hungry.

Vampire Black Widow Chicken

Yesterday evening, my grill girl, the Juju Woman, configured the charcoal grill for a whole chicken. Charcoal and a drip pan…she has this all the way downtown. Vampire Chicken, which means it has enough garlic and black pepper to ward off the evil spirits. It might be the best chicken I’ve ever had, and I started with a leg. I like legs. Chicken, rice, gravy, some asparagus, some peppers, and some grilled white grapes. Just plain damn too damn good. Nothin’ fancy, but tasty.

I don’t give a shit about plating, but I threw a P-61 Night Fighter in for good measure. My dinosaurs are in hiding. A P-61 Black Widow is a bad ass ride, so is her chicken.

We always use charcoal, and never use gas. Makes all the difference in the world. Trust me on this.

Stretch Is Pissing With The Big Dogs

Today, the Juju Woman, Stretch, and I went to see Newt Gingrich at the next town over. We all realize he won’t get the nomination, but it was worth going to. I still believe he is the smartest of ‘em all, and I would love to see him debate Obama one-on one. Obama and his mob are breathing a sigh of relief. Mark my words. Newt was on top of his game, for sure…even shook paws with Stretch. Way too cool. I mean way too cool. Stretch met the former Speaker of the House.

No pictures of him and Stretch…too much going on. Major Secret Service, and snipers on the roof tops. He might be on the news though, all the networks were there. I have no idea.

The Speaker

A Sniper

Actually, the snipers were all over every rooftop in the area…they had it covered from every angle. Not only did they have it covered with bullets, they were filming everything. I kid you not.

They were watching me take pictures of them…I turned my camera off and put it away. Hell if I know, they were probably watching Stretch. Newt was.

Zimmerman Vs. Obama

One word…POLITICS. George Zimmerman has been sacrificed for the greater good of the collective, and by that, I mean Obama’s reelection scheme. Zimmerman has already been convicted. Florida State Attorney Corey bypassed the Grand Jury. A taste of things to come? I have huge problems with this. I believe his case and the evidence should have been presented to the Grand Jury, and they could have returned a True Bill, or not. Earlier, this case was not put before the Grand Jury because the government did not think they had a prosecutable case. They had no evidence and no witnesses. Just because someone stands their ground and has a legal weapon, and the guy who attacks him doesn’t, makes no difference. If the “stander” thought his life was in danger, and did what he thought he had to do to survive…so be it. Big difference between murder and self defense. This STINKS. No one knows what happened. How can you charge someone for anything with no evidence? The media comes to mind, and the media is controlled by our supreme leader, and he is coming down the home stretch in an election year.

When the government bypasses the legal standards set forth by the government, we’re in big trouble. The evidence was not reviewed by his peers. It is his constitutional right as an American to undergo this process. The government ignored his rights. Right or wrong, the people should decide whether or not he should be charged, not the government. I have no idea whether he is guilty or innocent, but I would like to make my decision based on the facts. Apparently, the government does not care about facts, they care about remaining in power, conquering the people. The media plays a big part in this. Distort the facts to the general population, and you will prosper at the expense of others. After all, they’re just looking for votes and ratings, and they will bend every rule to get ‘em. They do not care about the system, or “due process”, they do care about themselves. They will throw anyone off the truck and under the bus if they believe they can benefit from it.

Difficult times ahead. I’m not just talking about the economy, I talking about morality. When you change your views to adapt to something you really don’t believe in, you’re a traitor to your soul.

Stand your ground, or all will be lost.

Juju Meatloaf

Okay, many of you know the Juju Woman and I didn’t eat any meat for 40 days and 40 nights. We’ve never given up anything for Lent before, but we stuck to our guns. We did it. No big deal. I usually go all veggie for two non consecutive months a year. I don’t really feel any better or worse, but I do feel different. Not bad, not better, just different. Anyway. we got all up on it last night. Double damn good.

There are many things I could bitch and complain about right now, like this country is being ripped apart by the seams, but no, I want to talk about food. I like to cook.

This is what you do:

Get a ugly ass casserole dish, Pyrex will do. Get a bunch of thick cut decent bacon. Get some nice Pork Chops and some nice Steaks. Break out the KitchenAid (if you don’t have a KitchenAid, you need to get one…trust me on this) with the meat-grinder attached. Grind the Pork and the Steak. Leave the bacon alone, for now. Boil a bunch of (any size) elbow pasta. Sauté some poblano peppers and onions. Fresh herbs won’t hurt either. Make a fresh cream sauce with milk and cheese. If you want to add tomatoes, I recommend something like Ro-Tel, or water. You just have to ensure the meat is formable. Not too thick, not to loose. You can feel it when it’s right.

Okay, you’re now ready to slow dance.

Layer the casserole dish with bacon horizontal from port to starboard (all to the way to the top of each side). Say a prayer, and have a sip. Fill one third with the ground meat. Say a prayer, and have a sip. Put a layer of the pasta with cheese sauce on top. Say a prayer, and have a sip. Fill the next third with the ground meat. Say a prayer, and have a sip. Put a layer of the pasta with cheese sauce on top. Say a prayer, and have a sip. Top it with whatever you want…this is where it gets creative. It’s up to you.

Also, use the rest of the pasta and cheese as a side.

I can tell you one thing for sure, you’ll probably be looking forward to the leftovers.

The peas were for color only, but the dinosaur wasn’t. Damn good, is all I can say. I also realize I need some help with “plating”, but I could care less.

Tyrannosaurus Bacon Rex

My T-Rex loves bacon with a Jamaican Ginger Beer. Since Ginger Beer is non alcoholic, he adds a couple of shots of vodka.

The Black Cats

Well, the new Black Panthers are calling for a race war. They hate white people. They should be very careful what they they wish for, because there is no way they can win. If they “suit up and boot up”, they’re done. They do not have a chance, and they should realize that. I don’t care about race, but I will kill anyone before they they kill me, regardless of color. What a mess, and our Attorney General is a pussy. He could stop it before it gets out of control, maybe.

Just sayin’

Is it Memorex, or is it not?

I’ve questioned the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate from the get go. I never understood, and still don’t, why it took him over two years to produce it. I can produce mine in a day. Why the delay. There is something “not right” about this. I believe he might have been planted. Just my thought, although we’ll probably never know. Could be the biggest cover up of all time. My gut instinct tells me he’s lying.

I know enough about computers to understand graphical layers. I will gladly produce my original birth certificate for a side by side comparison to BHO’s. They would both have to be scanned or photocopied, and then analyzed. I have no problem with that. Hell, mine might be fake, and I’m not who I think I am. At least, I’d have a starting point to find out who I really am. I believe it goes deeper with Obama. Deeper than Left or Right.

This is an interesting piece.

If it is proven that Obama was not born on American soil, would it matter? I think not, but I would still like to know. If it could be proved, what next? Roll back everything he has signed since he took office? I do not have the answers. I’m not a birther, but I would like to have the people who are expert in forgery have at it. Maybe the CIA, or the forgers on the other side of the table. Is it Memorex, or is it not?

I think it’s forged, but what do I know. Two years to produce it, give me a break. Something is not right here, no pun intended.

Glass Doxie

The Juju Woman made this for the NC Almost Home Dachshund Rescue Society silent auction. It’s about 15X8. Going for a good cause. Like I’ve said before, stained glass is hard to photograph, at least for me it is. This is way cooler than the photo. I picked the glass, and she built it. Lately, I’ve been the picker, and she’s been the builder. But, she has final say. I brought some home the other day, and was laughed at. Laughed at, I tell you. I’m going to make something out of it, and then you can laugh at me. I can make this stuff too.

The Cheese Masters

I’ve been to the Master’s before. Followed, pretty much, a foursome of Freddie Couples, Greg Norman, Raymond Floyd, and Tiger Woods (the year before he turned Pro). It was a great day. Faldo and his chick caddy Fanny (I followed them as well, she was amazing), won in the end. Fanny had the gear…she was marking off the distance and the angles and the trajectories of each shot. Got to meet Arnold Palmer (my fathers all time favorite golfer) and got some great pictures of him and his bag. Ate some great Pimento Cheese sandwiches as well. For anyone out of the know, The Masters is all about Pimento Cheese. I kid you not.

Augusta National is in the south (no shit), and they cling to tradition. Yes they do. I’m talking white starched coats for the servers, women with big hats and see through dresses, southern drawls, big corporate money, and 50 cent beers. It would be safe to eat off any fairway, and you could probably snort drugs off any green. I’m talking manicured. Hell, they even named a tree after a POTUS after they refused to cut it down to improve his game. You gotta love that. If you are ever presented with the opportunity to attend, do it. You will not regret it.

So, I was watching some of the final round this afternoon, and these are some of the announcer / commentator comments.

“Tough glass coming down that slope”

“That’s one to talk about”

“The collection area is well behind the green”

“He’ll not be over the moon with that one”

“Tremendous visualization powers”

“Treated that one with a lot of respect”

“He went down on that one”

“We’ll get a pretty good look inside his mind after that one”

“He has a half smile on his face like a Zen Master”

That’s as far as I’m going with this shit, but it does make me smile.
